Ire-Ayo Crown Foods Enterprise shall strive to prevent workplace injuries, occupational illnesses, unsafe acts and conditions, environmental pollution, property damage, and process-related incidents arising from its activities, products and services through the implementation of an effective Health, Safety, and Environmental Management System.
POLICY COMMITMENTS
Ire-Ayo Crown Foods Enterprise is committed to:
a) Legal and Regulatory Compliance
Comply with all applicable health, safety, environmental, fire safety, and occupational health legislation, regulations, permit conditions, standards, codes of practice, and other requirements relevant to the Company’s operations.
b) Safe and Healthy Workplace
Provide and maintain a safe, healthy, and secure working environment by systematically identifying workplace hazards, assessing risks, implementing appropriate control measures, and preventing accidents, injuries, occupational diseases, property damage, and process-related incidents.
c) Environmental Protection
Protect the environment by preventing pollution, minimizing waste generation, promoting waste reduction, reuse, recycling and resource recovery, conserving energy and natural resources, reducing emissions, and ensuring environmentally responsible management of wastewater, and other operational wastes generated from its operations.
d) Hazard Identification and Risk Management
Implement effective hazard identification, risk assessment, and risk control processes to eliminate hazards wherever practicable and reduce occupational and environmental risks to As Low as Reasonably Practicable (ALARP).
e) Training, Competence and Awareness
Provide employees, contractors, and other relevant persons with appropriate HSE induction, training, supervision, information, and resources necessary to perform their duties safely, responsibly, and in compliance with Company procedures while promoting a positive safety culture throughout the organization.
f) Emergency Preparedness and Response
Develop, implement, maintain, and periodically test emergency preparedness and response procedures to minimize the consequences of fires, chemical spills, machinery failures, electrical incidents, medical emergencies, natural disasters, and other potential emergency situations.
g) Employee Participation and Consultation
Promote active consultation, communication, and participation of employees, contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders in HSE programmes, recognizing that health, safety, and environmental protection are shared responsibilities.
h) Safe Operation of Equipment and Materials
Ensure that machinery and other work equipment are operated, inspected, maintained, and managed in accordance with approved operating procedures, manufacturers’ recommendations, and applicable regulatory requirements.
i) Incident Reporting and Investigation
Ensure that all accidents, near misses, unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, occupational illnesses, environmental incidents, and property damage are promptly reported, investigated, and corrective and preventive actions implemented to prevent recurrence.
j) Monitoring and Continual Improvement
Establish measurable HSE objectives and targets monitor and evaluate HSE performance, conduct workplace inspections, environmental monitoring, audits, and management reviews, and continually improve the effectiveness of the Company’s Health, Safety, and Environmental Management System.

POLICY REVIEW
This Policy shall be communicated to all employees, contractors, suppliers, visitors, and other relevant stakeholders. It shall be displayed prominently throughout the Company’s facilities and reviewed annually, or whenever significant changes occur in the Company’s operations, technology, applicable legislation, organizational structure, or other relevant circumstances, to ensure its continued suitability, adequacy, effectiveness, and alignment with the Company’s business objectives.
